ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು
ಅಲ್ಯಾರೂ ಇರದಿದ್ದಾಗ
ಬಿದ್ದ ಮರ
ಸದ್ದು ಮಾಡುವುದೇ?

ಚಂದ್ರ ತಾರೆಗಳಿಂದಾದ
ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಆಗಸ
ಹುಲ್ಲ ಮೇಲಿನ
ಮಂಜಿನ ಹನಿಯೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ
ಪ್ರತಿಬಿಂಬವಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿದೆ

Weed grows even though we do not love it.

ಬೇಕೆನ್ನುವ ಹೂವು
ಬಾಡಿ ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಮಣ್ಣ ಸೇರುತ್ತದೆ
ಬೇಡವೆಂದರೂ ಕಳೆ
ಮತ್ತೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತದೆ
