ಚಂದನ

ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ
ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಘಟನೆಗಳು ಹಲವು
ಆದರೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯು ನಡೆದದ್ದು
ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವೇ ಕೆಲವು

ನಾನು
ನನ್ನ ತನವನ್ನು
ಅರಿಯಲು ಬೇಕು
ಆಟದಲ್ಲಿ
ಮುಳುಗಿರುವ ಎಳೆಯ
ಮಗುವಿನ ಮನಸ್ಸು

You are in love with me,
I shall make you perplexed

Do not build much,
for I intend to have you in ruins.
If you build two hundred houses in a manner that the bees do,

If you are the mount Qaf in stability,

ಕಟ್ಟದಿರು ಹಲವನ್ನು,
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವಶೇಷಗಳ ನಡುವೆ
ಇರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದಿರುವೆ.
ಜೇನಿನಂತೆ ಹಲವಾರು ಮನೆ
ಕಟ್ಟುವಿಯಾದರೆ,
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದಾ
ನೊಣವನ್ನಾಗಿಸುವೆ.
ಸಹ್ಯಾದ್ರಿಯಂತೆ
ಅಚಲವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ,
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಿರ್ರನೆ ತಿರುಗುವ
ರಾಗಿಕಲ್ಲನ್ನಾಗಿಸುವೆ.

ಇನ್ನಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದರೆ
ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಂಗಾಲಾಗಿಸುವೆ

೪೭ ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ, ಅತಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯಳಂತೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಸೂಸನ್ ಬೊಯ್ಲ್, ಯಾರಿಗೂ ನಂಬಲಸಾದ್ಯವದದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಕೆ ಹಾಡಿದ “I Dreamed a Dream (from Les Misérables)” ಹಾಡು ಅದ್ಭುತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವಿನ್ನು ನೋಡಿರದಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡಬಹುದು
